NOTES
Request to visitors regarding heatstroke prevention measures
1. Stay hydrated

The SUMMER SONIC OFFICIAL BAR and Pocari Sweat booth offer a wide variety of drinks.
Replenish lost fluids and electrolytes as soon as possible during activities.
It is said that drinking water only when you feel thirsty cannot fully replenish the fluids lost during exercise.
Start drinking water before you feel thirsty to maintain proper hydration. Additionally, replenishing electrolytes with salt tablets or salt candies is also effective.
※Starting this year, sports drinks can also be brought into the Marine Stadium Arena!
2. Make effective use of rest areas

At SUMMER SONIC TOKYO, Makuhari Messe Hall 10 will once again be open as a spacious indoor rest area.
At SUMMER SONIC OSAKA, you can use the free tent area and the central rest area in the Japanese garden within the venue.
We also have sunshade tents and other places where you can avoid the sun, so please make use of them.
Avoiding direct sunlight can help reduce the risk of heatstroke!
<About using parasols>
As part of measures to prevent heatstroke, folding parasols may be brought into the venue and used.
[Precautions for use]
・Use is prohibited inside the Makuhari Messe building.
・Use is prohibited in front of the live viewing areas at the Marine Stage and Beach Stage.
・Use is permitted in the rear of the live viewing areas at the Marine Stage and Beach Stage, as well as in the stands at Marine Stadium, until the live performance begins, but please fold up your umbrella before the performance starts.
※Depending on the crowd situation, staff may ask you to fold your umbrella even in areas where use is permitted. We kindly ask for your cooperation in such cases.
・Please refrain from using umbrellas in crowded areas outside of the live viewing areas.
・The use of umbrellas is prohibited in rainy weather.
[Use of parasols at the Osaka venue]
If you are using a small parasol during the performance, please stop using it immediately if another customer complains or if a staff member asks you to do so.
Please cooperate by folding your parasol five minutes before the performance starts to avoid causing trouble for the people behind you.
3. Learn about items that reduce the risk of heatstroke
It is also effective to use hats, sunglasses, towels, etc. to block the sun's rays.
It is also effective to lower your body temperature by wearing clothes with good ventilation and moisture absorption, such as those with open collars and cuffs.
It is also effective to use a cooling towel or wet towel in combination with a mini fan to create a breeze.
4. If you feel any changes in your physical condition, go to the infirmary immediately.

Heatstroke becomes more severe as time passes.
If you feel any changes in your physical condition, please visit the first aid room immediately.
First aid staff patrol regularly, so please let them know immediately if you need anything.
We will take appropriate measures according to the condition of each customer, not limited to heatstroke.
If we determine that you are clearly suspected of having heatstroke, staff may escort you to the first-aid station.
In such cases, please follow the staff's instructions.
If an ambulance is required, please refrain from calling yourself and instead notify the nearest staff member.
The organizers will coordinate with the emergency services.
We kindly ask for your cooperation to ensure smooth coordination with the emergency services.
5. Other measures to prevent heatstroke

We regularly water the outdoor areas and outdoor stage.
If you feel any changes in your physical condition, cooling your body can also be effective.
It is said that the best way to cool your body effectively is to cool your neck, armpits, and groin.
Please get plenty of sleep and eat a good breakfast before coming to the festival so that you have enough energy to enjoy it for a long time.
Please refrain from waiting in line near the venue late at night or even earlier before the event begins.
Not only does this cause inconvenience to nearby residents, but it also significantly depletes your stamina and increases the risk of heatstroke.
Preventive items such as cooling patches, hats, and towels are available for purchase at information desks and merchandise booths, so please make use of them.
Please also take a look at the "Heatstroke Prevention Guide" to help you enjoy summer events to the fullest. (From The Dai-ichi Life Insurance Company)
Be sure to check the location of the rest areas inside the venue in advance using the area map!
