MÅNESKIN will headline the Tokyo 8/17 (Sat.) and Osaka 18 (Sun.) events, featuring up-and-coming rapper LIL YACHTY, who is widely acclaimed for his ambitious approach to rock/alterna sounds that transcend the boundaries of hip-hop, Gen Hoshino, an artist whose wide-ranging activities are also appealing, including a very successful performance as curator of the Beach Stage at last year’s SUMMER SONIC with a group of fellow artists from overseas, will be at SUMMER SONIC Tokyo, Vaundy, who is undoubtedly one of the leading young artists in the music scene in 2025, will be performing at SUMMER SONIC Osaka. SUPER BEAVER has become one of Japan’s leading rock bands, a four-member group that has captured the hearts of men and women of all ages with the overwhelming passion that comes through in their live performances, In addition to AKMU (Tokyo only), a brother-sister duo that boasts national popularity in Korea, who will finally make their first appearance in Japan at SUMMER SONIC, celebrating their 10th anniversary, imase, born in 2000, is an artist who has quickly gained global popularity as a new voice of pop music, A three-piece female band popular for their pop and addictive songwriting, Chilli Beans. will be performing at SUMMER SONIC, and their first Nippon Budokan concert this year was sold out.
And on August 18 (Sun) in Tokyo and 17 (Sat) in Osaka, headlined by BRING ME THE HORIZON, the rock band HOOBASTANK, which is still active at the forefront after more than 20 years since its formation, Dai Hirai will perform from Japan. His catchy melody lines spun by his gentle voice will color the midsummer stage. And BABYMONSTER, a hot girls’ group consisting of all-rounders from Korea, Thailand, Japan and other countries, will perform for the first time (Tokyo only). Creepy Nuts, the Japanese Hip Hop unit of rapper R-Shitei and DJ Matsunaga, a duo currently dominating the charts in various countries, will make their first appearance in a while. In addition, the three-piece alternative rock band Hitsujibungaku has received overwhelming support from the younger generation for their profound lyrics and message that emanate from their delicate yet powerful sound, ATARASHII GAKKO! is sure to deliver another powerful performance this year, with last year’s big hit “OTONA BLUE” still fresh in our minds as well as the continued popularity of the worldwide audience’s eyes. Wednesday Campanella will be making their first appearance at SUMMER SONIC since the new formation, and will shine with the unique charm of second-generation vocalist Shiba, who combines rigidity and flexibility.
The two-day event vividly captures the current state of the global music scene, and the new generation of artists is sure to bring a new breeze to the lineup with their additions.

Following today’s announcement of the daily schedule, one-day tickets and platinum tickets for each day are now available.

Finally, the schedule split between Tokyo and Osaka is out and preparations for the summer will begin.
The headliners are MÅNESKIN and BRING ME THE HORIZON, two new icons of the next generation of rock and a band that has a great affinity for Japan. The former is the first Italian rock star in SUMMER SONIC’s history, following his performance in Japan last December, which sold out nearly 40,000 people on the same day and caused a sensation across Japan.The latter will return to SUMMER SONIC as arguably the most prominent rock band of the year, receiving the title of Best Rock Band at the recent Brit Awards and dropping a new album soon. Before that, there was a fresh lineup of world-class faces, including AURORA, GRETA VAN FLEET, LIL YACHTY, ONEREPUBLIC, and PINKPANTHERESS. There, Tokyo-only MAJOR LAZER and Gen Hoshino and Osaka-only UNDERWORLD and Vaundy should be involved in important stages. And now that we are able to announce the artists we can only hope to see, mainly from Japan and Asia, we can’t wait to see what stage they will appear on.
Since we are about halfway through the presentation at this stage, we will pick up the pace from here, and additional acts will be brought out from around the world.

Starting this year, ZOZO Marine Stadium will allow visitors to bring sports drinks into the arena, in addition to water and tea. Water stations will be located outside both venues, so please drink plenty of water. In Tokyo, use the indoor environment of Makuhari Messe to cool down, or take a break in the shade of the lush trees and lawns of Expo ’70 Commemorative Park, the new Osaka venue. Although you should be willing to push yourself to see your favorite artists perform live, please consider where you will attend while consulting with your own physical condition. The festival staff will be watching your movements and waiting for you to call on us at any time.

Nearly 10% of the audience now comes from outside Japan to enjoy the summer, and this year SUMMER SONIC BANGKOK will finally begin. Will Japanese festivals expand to other Asian countries in the future and introduce more Japanese artists to the world? All I can say is that nothing happens unless you try.
