From a total of 1,794 entries, eight acts were selected following an initial audio screening, nationwide studio auditions, and a final live audition. Additionally, one act was chosen from “CMYK,” a new talent discovery project organized by “Rolling Hall,” a long-established live music venue in Seoul, South Korea. This brings the total number of performing artists to nine.
The selected artists will perform as the opening acts on the SONIC STAGE, PACIFIC STAGE, Spotify STAGE, and MASSIVE STAGE at “SUMMER SONIC 2026.”
Furthermore, two Japanese acts selected through “DERENNO!? SAMASONI!? 2026” have been confirmed to perform at “SOUND PLANET FESTIVAL 2026” in Seoul, South Korea. This provides them with an opportunity to expand their reach beyond Japan to the international stage.
