The two main stages —MARINE in Tokyo and AIR in Osaka— will feature a lineup worthy of the festival’s 25th anniversary, headlined by THE STROKES, L’Arc-en-Ciel, and Ado, and including everything from world-class rock bands to Japan’s top artists and figures symbolizing a new era. The MOUNTAIN stage will bring together acts that symbolize the breadth and depth of SUMMER SONIC—from legends to artists at the forefront of the current scene—spanning rock, alternative, and more. The SONIC Stage will once again feature a lineup of unique artists sure to excite music fans, creating a space that embodies the very essence of SUMMER SONIC, where diverse sounds—including indie, electronic, and alternative—resonate together. Furthermore, the Tokyo PACIFIC and Osaka MASSIVE stages will feature a diverse lineup ranging from artists expanding their reach globally—including across Asia—to rising stars energizing the domestic scene. These stages are expected to generate huge excitement as venues where you can truly experience the current music scene transcending national borders and genres.

The Tokyo Spotify Stage will bring together up-and-coming artists representing the next generation, making it a must-see venue where you can discover new talent. The Tokyo BEACH Stage will be a special space where the open-air atmosphere unique to the seaside intersects with global music culture, featuring curated programs embodying the excitement of the global Latin scene and events like EURODANCE PARADISE. The Osaka PAVILION, a special space featuring the “Golden Face” that carries on the legacy of 1970, will host sessions by various artists centered around DJ sets.

And even more artists have been added to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

WEST., who captivate a wide range of generations with their overwhelming entertainment value and sense of unity as a group, are set to perform in Tokyo on Friday, August 14, and in Osaka on Saturday, August 15. Also appearing will be Accusefive, a group based in Yilan, Taiwan, whose melodic songs featuring male and female twin vocals have garnered fans across Asia. On Saturday, August 15, in Osaka, FRUITS ZIPPER, who are garnering significant attention both domestically and internationally, will take the stage. With a colorful and pop-infused performance, they will bring a vibrant energy to the Osaka venue. Also confirmed are UMEDA CYPHER—who energize the scene with their overwhelming rap skills and free-spirited team dynamic—and Daichi Yamamoto—who exudes a unique presence with his supple flow and mellow sound. Also performing will be Survive Said The Prophet, who lead the loud rock scene and have garnered support both domestically and internationally, as well as the “Nostalgic Modern” band LET ME KNOW, who reconstruct 80s UK rock for the modern era.

On Saturday, August 15 in Tokyo and Sunday, August 16 in Osaka, the lineup includes Denki Groove, who continue to leave an unparalleled mark on Japan’s electro/dance scene; Kento Nakajima, who is active in various fields and continues to expand his artistic expression as a solo artist; SIRUP, who delivers a smooth groove rooted in R&B, soul, and hip-hop, and Kvi Baba, who is gaining a growing following with his authentic lyrics and melodic flow. On Saturday, August 15, in Tokyo, the dance and vocal group GENERATIONS—which is expanding its activities both domestically and internationally—will perform. With their energetic performances and dazzling staging, they are sure to get the Tokyo venue buzzing. On Sunday, August 16, in Osaka, Kaela Kimura—who has built a unique style spanning music, fashion, and art, and created songs loved across generations—will take the stage. Additionally, CLAN QUEEN—who command attention with their genre-defying sound and unique worldview—kiki vivi lily—who deliver a mellow and soothing sound— MoMo, and FULLHOUSE have also been added to the lineup. In addition, the Osaka performances for the three-piece band OddRe:, who are already confirmed to perform in Tokyo, have also been newly confirmed.

On Sunday, August 16 in Tokyo and Friday, August 14 in Osaka, WANIMA, a three-piece rock band from Kumamoto that has generated massive excitement at major festivals, will perform. Also confirmed are METALVERSE, whose unique worldview and metal sound are raising expectations for their full-scale launch, and Travis Japan, who are expanding their reach both domestically and internationally with their exceptional dance skills and expressiveness. Also confirmed are FLOWEROVLOVE, the next-generation pop icons from London who made waves at Coachella, and the five-member dance and vocal group STARGLOW, born from BMSG’s audition project “THE LAST PIECE,” will also take the stage, each bringing their unique flair to add new energy to SUMMER SONIC. On Sunday, August 16, in Tokyo, the rock band Oisicle Melonpan, known for their delicate yet powerful sound, will perform. Additionally, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu—a symbol of Japanese pop culture who has garnered widespread support both domestically and internationally— as well as Night Tempo, a South Korean producer and DJ who has garnered attention for reimagining Showa-era pop and city pop as contemporary dance music.

On Friday, August 14, in Osaka, PompadollS, a rising band that launched in 2024 and combines alternative sensibilities with the power of classic rock, has been confirmed. Additionally, the Osaka performance of the five-member global group from the Philippines, SB19, whose appearance in Tokyo on August 16 (Sun) has already been announced, has also been confirmed. Additionally, Hana Hope—who is drawing attention with her crystal-clear vocals—XinU—who captivates with her supple groove— CHAMELEON LIME WHOOPIEPIE, who exude a unique pop sensibility, will also be performing.
