Spring has finally arrived! With the rush of overseas artists coming to Japan in full swing and domestic festivals being announced one after another, we are pleased to announce the additional artists for SUMMER SONIC

SEKAI NO OWARI, who is active worldwide as a standard-bearer at the forefront of the music scene, will be in Tokyo on 8/19 (Sat) and Osaka on 8/20 (Sun), JXDN is attracting attention as the first artist to be signed to Travis Barker’s DTA Records label, hosted by Travis Barker of blink-182, Kroi, a five-member band presenting sublimated musical influences from all music genres including R&B / funk / soul / rock / hip-hop, is selected. Also in Tokyo on 8/19 (Sat) is THE LOUNGE SOCIETY, a hot UK art-rock band that will lead the next generation, Nulbarich, who has been dominating not only the domestic but also the Asian scene, including the AREA DIP project he curates, will perform.

And with the Korean crowd already making headlines, this year’s SUMMER SONIC brings even more surprises! The legendary lead singer of BIGBANG, SOL, will appear as a solo performer on 8/19 (Sat) in Osaka and 8/20 (Sun) in Tokyo. Also, sumika, one of Japan’s leading bands, will perform at SUMMER SONIC for the first time. Furthermore, BABYMETAL has just been unsealed and restarted as a three-member group, Momoiro Clover Z, celebrating their 15th anniversary, will return to SUMMER SONIC after a long absence. KIDS RETURN, a rising star from France with a brilliant sense of melody, will be in Tokyo on August 20 (Sun.).

This year’s SUMMER SONIC has already been a battle for tickets, and the performance announcement term is earlier than usual, so be sure to purchase your tickets as soon as possible!
